2020 | Year in Review
While 2020 presented numerous challenges for everyone including our firm and employees, we want to reflect on some of the highlights from the past year, including numerous awards, rankings, and recognition for our firm and attorneys. 2020 was a milestone year marking our 10th anniversary serving the greater Houston area. As Houston’s go-to law firm for businesses, we continue our commitment to protecting our clients by developing long term relationships and finding creative solutions to complex legal issues.
■ The Firm welcomed Brian Antweil, former Houston managing partner for Katten Muchin Rosenman with more than 30 years’ experience in commercial, real estate, oil and gas, technology, and bankruptcy litigation.
■ Rapp & Krock expanded its estate planning and elder law practice with the addition of Joy Eckelkamp. Joy is a Certified Elder Law Attorney and former Bank of Texas Trust Officer who brings 21 years of legal experience to the firm.
■ The Firm further solidified its real estate, finance, and oil and gas practice with the hire of Scott Seidl, former associate with Zabel Freeman and landman for BP America Production Company.

■ Rapp & Krock received recognition in the 2021 S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” and received a Tier 2 ranking in Houston for real estate law, bankruptcy litigation, and bankruptcy and creditor debtor rights/insolvency and reorganizational law as well as a Tier 3 ranking in commercial litigation.
■ Rapp & Krock ranked 16th on Houston Business Journal’s 2020 Best Places to Work list in the small business category.

■ Rapp & Krock supported numerous charity events and organizations, including the Special Olympics Texas Celebrity Golf Tournament Dinner, the Special Olympics Texas Annual Breakfast with Champions, Texas Aggie Bar Association’s Annual Conference, Gulf Winds International Steve Stewart Classic Golf Tournament, HBA Charity Golf Tournament, and The Center for Pursuit.
