R. Alex Weatherford

R. Alex Weatherford helps create a dialogue between people. Through these discussions, he helps clients create, expand, and protect their business. His knowledge in business, real estate, oil and gas, and construction litigation has helped his clients create and maintain the businesses they’ve envisioned. He is fluent in Spanish and has experience representing litigating parties in state and federal courts. Mr. Weatherford’s background includes:

    • Company formations, shareholder/partnership disputes, trade secrets, and non-compete litigation
    • Master services agreement
    • Lease agreements
    • Asset & stock purchases
    • Real estate litigation including representing owners, landlords, buyers, sellers, general contractors and subcontractors
    • Loan documents
    • Secured transactions
    • Construction litigation including representing builders, subcontractors, and property owners in contract disputes
    • Representing oil & gas subcontractors in a variety of contract disputes
I want my clients to be at ease knowing how strongly I feel about the responsibility in protecting and advancing their interests while also maintaining transparency in the process. In the words of Clarence Darrow 'I am prepared to be demanding, outrageous, irreverent, blasphemous, a rogue, a renegade, and a hated, isolated, and lonely person' if that is what it takes to further my client's interest.

Prior to joining Rapp & Krock, P.C., Mr. Weatherford was an attorney at the Doré Rothberg McKay law group where he represented some of the largest oil & gas service companies in Houston. Mr. Weatherford is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice in all Texas State Courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
