Rapp & Krock experienced many exciting changes in 2019. As we look toward a new year, we want to reflect on those events and what we, as a firm, accomplished.
■ The Firm achieved one of its 3-year objectives (in just the first year) when it was named a finalist in the Houston Business Journal’s 2019 Best Places to Work and took home the “Best Dressed” award at the Mardi Gras themed luncheon.
■ In January 2019, the Firm strengthened its Estate Planning/Administration practice, including Elder Law, by welcoming Emily Taylor to its team.
■ The Firm established its Creditors Rights/Bankruptcy practice with the addition of Henry Flores, former Haynes and Boone Partner, in April 2019 and began representing clients in five of the largest bankruptcies in Houston.
■ In November, the Firm hired Emma Gorski to assist both litigation and transactional groups.
■ The Firm supported numerous charity events and organizations across Houston, including Special Olympics Breakfast of Champions, Covenant House – Sleep Out, Houston Christian High School Mustang Classic Golf Tournament, Katy Triathlon, Katy Youth Soccer Dynamo, Texas Aggie Bar Association Annual Tailgate, Seven Lakes High School Athletics, Gulf Winds International Steve Stewart Classic Golf Tournament, and more
■ The Firm rolled out the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) program formalizing its mission to be Houston’s Go-To Business Law Firm, stated its 6 core values, developed 1, 3, and 5-year plans with specific objectives and milestones to measure progress toward those objectives.
■ The Firm rolled out its new accounting, billing, contact management, and practice management system – Centerbase – making the firm’s processes more efficient for our clients.
■ The Firm had another successful Summer Olympic Games, with some new events that help emphasize our core values.
■ The Firm hired a new Firm Manager, Shannon Hinojosa, who joined the leadership team in October.
■ The Firm hired a full-time Marketing and Business Development Coordinator, Marissa Lloyd, in December.
Thank you to our clients and friends for what was truly an amazing year. We are confident 2020 will be one of the best years yet. Wishing you prosperity and success in all your upcoming endeavors!
