Brandon is a litigation attorney with more than 23 years of experience representing businesses and individuals throughout the Greater Houston area. His practice focuses on real estate, construction, collection, landlord/tenant, property associations, and other disputes. Brandon is known for being a strong courtroom advocate while also providing practical, business-minded solutions that help clients resolve disputes efficiently and cost-effectively.

Construction

  • Co-counsel in the successful defense of a developer in a $20+ million nuisance claim and attempt to enjoin construction of a 26-story, $100+ million luxury apartment and condominium development.
  • Successfully obtained summary judgment dismissing a $770,000 mechanic’s and materialman’s lien claim; the judgment was affirmed on appeal by the Court of Appeals in Beaumont.
  • Represented a global oil and gas and technology company in negotiating and drafting a construction contract for a $10+ million campus facility in San Antonio.
  • Represented a private school in negotiating construction management, architectural, and construction agreements for a $16.5 million campus expansion in Houston.
  • Represented a major banking institution in reviewing construction contracts for the multi-million-dollar Houston Pavilions development in downtown Houston.

 

Real Estate

  • Assisted a client with the purchase of 173 acres of land in Houston through resolving lien claims and other incumbrances.
  • Represented a luxury women’s fashion retailer in negotiating a tenant build-out agreement for its Houston location after litigation with the landlord.
  • Assisted a client with the purchase of a restaurant and historic building in Old Town Spring.
  • Longtime counsel to a real estate investment trust for construction and development-related documents and litigation.

 

Banking & Financial Litigation

  • Secured a $5.9 million judgment for a banking client and successfully defended the judgment through multiple post-judgment proceedings.
  • Obtained a $1.35 million judgment for a client in an action to enforce a guaranty of debt.

 

Commercial & Business Disputes

  • Represents multiple homeowners’ associations in litigation and enforcement actions involving deed restrictions and injunctions.
  • Represents landlords and tenants in disputes involving commercial property and lease agreements.
