A. Kelly Williams Joins Rapp & Krock, PC and Reunites with Brad Rapp
We are delighted to welcome Kelly Williams as Of Counsel in the firm’s Transactional Group. Kelly’s practice focuses on providing strategic business counsel, structuring and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and financing transactions. Kelly’s unique perspective as a founder and CEO in the financial industry has strengthened his ability to identify opportunities for private equity funds, financial institutions, and investors.
“Rapp & Krock is excited to welcome Kelly to the firm,” said Brad Rapp, Rapp & Krock’s managing shareholder. “Kelly and I have a long history of working together and I believe his legal and investment experience in M&A and private equity will provide our clients with strategic advice to take advantage of opportunities for growth and realization.”
Kelly’s legal experience includes a broad range of practice areas, including corporate transactions, tax planning, commercial real estate, bankruptcy, litigation, and employment law. Kelly’s career began at a regional firm specializing in transactional and tax matters, after which he established his own practice focused on public and private business transactions before transitioning to the private equity sector.
In 1998, Kelly founded Milestone Capital, Inc., a private equity firm he has led successfully for over two decades. In his role, Kelly oversaw all aspects of middle-market private equity operations—from identifying and evaluating investment opportunities to managing investor relationships, conducting comprehensive due diligence, and structuring transactions. His responsibilities extended to developing strategic business plans, executing exit strategies, and cultivating key relationships across the investment banking and private equity communities.
“I am excited to join the team at Rapp & Krock,” noted Kelly. “The firm has a stellar reputation for advising companies and investors, and its unique culture, built on six core values, fosters collaboration and client-focused solutions. Many firms talk about core values, but Rapp & Krock lives them. As a bonus of joining Rapp & Krock, I get to work again with Brad Rapp, a lawyer with whom I have a multi-decade relationship as both a lawyer and a client.”
