José’s practice focuses on all aspects of business law including general commercial matters, entity selection and formation, finance, exit strategies, negotiating, and documenting and closing stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions. José is fluent in English and Spanish.
A Houston native, José received a Bachelor of History degree from Clemson University and earned his Juris Doctorate with Honors from South Texas College of Law. Prior to joining Rapp & Krock, José spent 10 years as an international business development and sales consultant for various oil and gas companies. His practice includes:

Develop capital strategies for start up and existing companies and advise investors on risk of investments

Advise companies in non-competes, disclosures, intellectual property assignments, compensation plans and termination rights

Assisted various clients, both landlords and tenants, with the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases.
Represented various clients with entity selection process and the drafting and negotiation of formation, governance and buy-sell documents.
