Jens K. Sandberg

Jens’ practice focuses on general business and commercial matters, including corporate formation and governance, employment matters, commercial leases, and advisement on entity choices based on his client’s goals.

    • Negotiating and drafting construction contracts
    • Commercial leases
    • Lien drafting and perfecting
    • Trade secret protection
    • International joint venture agreements
    • Deed and title review
    • Non-compete agreements and non-disclosure agreements
My mantra to my clients is ‘it is better to be proactive rather than reactive.’ My aim is to foresee and advise my clients on any potential disputes which may arise in the future and craft specific provisions in order to avoid costly litigation.

Jens was born and raised in the diverse city of El Paso, Texas, where he grew up speaking Spanish. Jens chose to complete his undergrad at Trinity University, in San Antonio Texas. Here he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on International Business and a Minor in Spanish. While in college, Jens played on Trinity’s varsity football team and was a part of the prestigious business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. Jens also studied abroad in Madrid, Spain where he took classes and expanded his knowledge of Spanish and Latino culture and business. After graduation, Jens attended South Texas College of Law-Houston. During law school, he had the opportunity to expand his interests and knowledge of international law while studying at the University of Malta in Valletta, Malta, and at Aarhus University in Aarhus, Denmark. While in Malta, he received the CALI award in an International Cultural Heritage Law class. In his spare time, he enjoys playing football, soccer, softball, and you may see him riding his bike around Houston to different local events.

Prior to joining Rapp & Krock, Jens’ was an associate at a boutique business firm where he handled a majority of their construction, real estate, and trade secret disputes. Jens was able to learn the complexities of civil litigation which enables him to be a thorough advisor.
